Von Bergen, Werner, 1897-
Von Bergen graduated in 1916 from the Technical College of Burgdorf, Switzerland, as a chemist and was connected with the wool industry since 1919. He was Director of Research, 1926-1962, at Forstmann Woolen Co., Passaic, N.J.; and a consultant to J.P. Stevens & Co., 1963-1972. He also served as the United States representative to the Technical Committee of the International Wool Textile Organization and taught woolen manufacturing at Columbia University.
