Gatton and Enos (Springfield, Ill.)

In 1827 Charles R. Gatton and Pascal Enos, Sr. went into business together with a general merchandise store located in the growing new city of Springfield, Ill. They did business with St. Louis and New Orleans not only buying but selling grains, butter and meat. Enos died in 1832.
