Hoover, H. M.

Helen Mary Hoover's works have all been named to the Dorothy Canfield Fisher list, to the Oglethorp Award list, and to the Maud Hart Lovelace list. She has received the Child Study Association Children's Book of the Year award (1974); ALA Best Book for Young Adults citations (1974, 1981, 1988); New York Times Pick of the Lists (1974); ALA Notable Book citation (1981); the American Booksellers Best Pick (1984). Another Heaven, Another Earth was included on the ALA 101 Best of the Best Books of the Past 25 years (1994), and several Hoover novels have been Junior Literary Guild selections.
