Western Montana National Bank (Missoula, Mont.)

Following a bitter and prolonged fight among the officers and directors of the First National Bank of Missoula, Ferdinand Kennett, Gustavus A. Wolf, James H.T. Ryman, Charles Otto, Lucretia Worden, Levi J. Fisk, and August Wierich established the Western Montana National Bank on March 21, 1889. The bank charter designated Kennett, Wolf, Ryman, Otto, and Fisk as the board of directors; with Kennett as president, Ryman as vice-president, and Wolf as cashier. The enterprise began with a capital of $75,000. The bank was first located at the corner of Main and Higgins in Missoula, Montana, but moved to the corner of Broadway and Higgins in 1910.
