Michigan Political History Society
The Michigan Political History Society was founded in 1993 as a non-partisan organization to promote knowledge of the political history of the state of Michigan. The Society has a newsletter and sponsors meetings, some of these honor political figures of the past, others are lectures by authors who have written about state politics. Since 1995, the Society has sponsored a program of oral history interviews. The oral history program, titled the James J. Blanchard Living Library of Michigan Political History, is an on-going project of the Society.
