Capraro, Anthony, 1891-1975.
Anthony Capraro (1891-1975) was an Italian American labor organizer, editor of Alba Nuova and Utopia, labor arbiter, and spokesman for antifascism among Italian Americans. Capraro was a major figure in the Lawrence (Massachusetts) textile strike of 1919 and an organizer of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America. In addition to his other work, he acted to help Italian exiles who came to the United States.
