Letter from N. Udall, Post Office Department, informs California Governor John McDougal (1851-1852) that his nominee for Assistant Postmaster General for California and Oregon, Col. James S. Graham, cannot be considered, since Post Office Department does not intend to establish an office on Pacific coast.
