University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Center for Women in Educational Leadership.

The Center for Women in Educational Leadership was established in 1979 in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Education under a grant from the Ford Foundation. One of four such centers funded by Ford, it was founded to promote the identification, advancement, and professional development of women administrators. Under Director Lillian C. Woo and with the cooperation of faculty members of both the Division of Academic Affairs and the Division of Health Affairs, the center conducted surveys, workshops, and seminars to determine and implement ways of fostering the advancement of women into positions of educational leadership.
