Shellharbour (N.S.W. : Municipality). Council
The Municipality of Shellharbour was officially gazetted as a municipality of 7th June 1859. It is situated south of Wollongong. Whilst dairying has long constituted the main agricultural pursuit, many residents have come to work in the heavy industries established in the twentieth century at Port Kembla and Wollongong.
