Arent, Patrice M.
Patrice M. Arent was a Member of the Utah Senate, 2003-2006; and previously a Member of the Utah House of Representatives 1997-2000. She earned a J.D. from Cornell University (1981) and a Bachelor of Science (magna cum laude) from the University of Utah in Speech Communication (1978). Senator Arent is actively involved in enhancing her Salt Lake Valley community and is active in the Utah Safe Haven Committee, the Utah Hospital Association Strategic Planning Committee, Rotary International, the Utah State Bar Association and many other non-profit groups aimed towards improving quality of life. Arent is the recipient of numerous honors including University of Utah Hinckley Institute of Politics "Alumni of the year", and was recognized by the Deseret News as one of the five "Most Effective" members of the Utah House and Senate (awarded each year the article was written during Arent's tenure).
