Erly, Robert B. (Robert Broussard), 1914-
Robert Broussard Erly was born on June 12, 1914, in Washington, D.C. He received his commission as Ensign in the U.S. Navy in 1937, and advanced through grades to the rank of rear admiral in 1965. He served as commander of Amphibious Group 3 from 1965 to 1966, and as Inspector General of the Atlantic Fleet from 1968 to 1969.
