Berger, Victor L., 1860-1929
Victor Berger was a U.S. Representative and the first Socialist congressman. He helped to found the Milwaukee Social Democrat (Socialist) Party. He edited a newspaper. He was sentenced to twenty years in prison for expressing objections to World War I.
