Japan Mission
The American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions started the Japan Mission in 1869, and in 1870 moved to Kobe and subsequently started churches, schools, hospitals and dispensaries. In 1961 the A.B.C.F.M. joined with the Board of International Missions, the Commission on World Service, and the Congregational Christian Service Committee.
