Gombrich, E. H. (Ernst Hans), 1909-2001
E.H. Gombrich was born in Vienna, Austria, and moved to London in 1936. He was the author of many works on art and director of the Warburg Institute, 1959-1976. He was considered one of the world's greatest art historians.
