Review Club

The Review Club was established in 1886 as a Browning Club at Brown University by the Misses Stockbridge. Transformed into the Greek Club a year later, the club continued to exist in future years as the Review Club, an informal member organization aimed at the study and discussion of literature and culture. As stated in their "Short History", the Club provides "disquisitions on subjects historical, literary, theatrical, classical, legal, practical, economic, nautical, artistic, medical, scientific, bibliographical, musical, sociological, poetical, academic, ornithological, journalistic, and architectural, among others".
