Hunt, Theodore G. (Theodore Gaillard), 1805-1893
Theodore G. Hunt was district attorney for New Orleans, a Louisiana state representative for Orleans Parish (1837-1842), and U.S. Representative for Louisiana (1853-1855). He served as colonel of the Fifth Louisiana Regiment, Confederate Army, in 1861 and 1862. He was appointed adjutant general of Louisiana with the rank of brigadier general by Governor Allen and remained in active service until the close of the Civil War.
