Myers, Helen Linder, 1914-
Helen Myers received her A.B. degree from the University of Chicago in 1938. She and her family moved to Los Angeles in 1946. She was a paid worker and volunteer for the Red Cross and Community Chest. She was elected to the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee in 1948 and was active in the Young Democrats. She served as Organization Chairman for the County Central Committee (1950-1958). Myers was a founder of the California Democratic Council and was elected First President of the original board (1953-1957). She was appointed Organization Chairman of CDC (1955-1957).
