King, B.C.
B. C. King served as a soldier during the First World War. He enlisted in the United States Army at Paducah, Kentucky in the summer of 1917. He was first sent to Fort Thomas, Kentucky, then to Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia and then to Fort Jay, New York before being ordered to France in October of 1918. He served with the American Expeditionary Force, Medical Supply Depot No. 1, where he delivered medicines and supplies by truck to the front line.
