MacMillan, Sidney Gardner.

Sidney Gardner MacMillan, was the son of Doctor William Dougald MacMillan and Margaret Anderson MacMillan of Wilmington. He served in the American Third Army in the last months of World War I. Lieutenant MacMillan arrived in Europe around April 1918. He was wounded at the Second Battle of the Marne and was hospitalized in Limoges, France. After rehabilitation, he rejoined the Third Army, under the command of Major General Joseph Dickman, and served in the Third Division of US Army of occupation headquartered in Andernach, Germany.
