Resident of Bergen County, New Jersey; served as [tax] Collector for Orvil Township (which, reduced in size, became Waldwick in 1919); was also [later?] employed by the Erie Railroad Company at which time he was associated in some way with Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey.
