De Vries, Peter, 1910-1993
Peter De Vries was an American writer and editor, affiliated with Poetry and later New Yorker, noted for his wit and technical proficiency. In a series of popular, generally humorous novels, he examines society, morals, and both the charm and limitations of language as a form of communication.
