Taylor, Kenneth Nathaniel

Christian publisher, author, businessman; born Kenneth Nathaniel Taylor, May 8, 1917; graduated from Wheaton College (Ill.), 1938; attended Dallas Theological Seminary, 1940-1943 and North Baptist Theological Seminary, 1944 (Th. M.); editor of His magazine, 1944-1946; director of Moody Press, 1948-1961; founded Tyndale House Publishers, 1963; wrote paraphrase of the New Testament epistles entitled, Living Letters which was published privately; when Billy Graham recommended it from the pulpit, it sold well, because of this, he went on to complete the paraphrase of the entire Bible, called The Living Bible, published in 1971; also wrote a children's paraphrase, Taylor's Bible Story Book, 1970.
