Fishing Creek Monthly Meeting of Friends held at Millville. Women's Meeting.
Muncy Monthly Meeting was established in 1799 by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting out of Catawissa Monthly Meeting. At the time of the Hicksite Separation --which in this area of Pennsylvania did not occur until 1829/30--the meeting was divided into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. The Hicksite monthly meeting was transferred to Fishing Creek Half Yearly Meeting in 1834, and in 1855, its name was changed to Fishing Creek Monthly Meeting of Friends held at Millville. In 1893, the meeting dropped "Fishing Creek" from its name and adopted the name "Monthly Meeting of Friends held at Millville, Pa." Millville is currently an active monthly meeting.
