Crowther, Richard L.

Richard L. Crowther was born in Newark, N.J. on December 16, 1910. He received his architectural training at a number of schools, earning his M.A. in Architecture at the Newark School of Fine Arts. Crowther began his professional career in California in the early 1930s and became internationally known for his revolutionary climate-responsive and solar designs. He was also active in the fine arts and created artworks, murals and graphics for his residential and commercial projects. Crowther died in Denver, Colo. on December 25, 2006.
