Holland, Wilfrid, 1920-2005

Composer, piano teacher, accompanist, choral and orchestral conductor. Educated at the Royal School of Church Music. Came to Canberra as Director of Music at the Canberra Grammar School in 1960 and was appointed conductor of the Canberra Orchestral and Choral Societies. Founded the Winter Singers in 1963 and composed much of the groups' chamber music.
