Stroum, Samuel, 1921-2001,
Born in 1921 in Waltham, Massachusetts, Stroum came to Seattle, Washington, in the early 1940s. A businessman and entrepreneur, he was the principal of Samuel Stroum Enterprises, led several other business ventures, and served on various boards. Stroum was a legendary philanthropist, giving to the arts, education, and community agencies - including significant fundraising efforts for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Seattle. He died on March 9, 2001.
