Strang, Peter McDonald.
Strang, an engineer, graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1918. He worked in the manufacture of mill supplies until 1927 when he became senior cotton technologist for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. He also spent some time working at M.I.T. on patents for cotton machinery. During World War II he did research for the U.S. Navy and later worked for the Institute of Textile Technology in Charlottesville, Va. In 1951, he became a research engineer for Whitin Machine Works, Whitinsville, Mass., until 1957 when he began work as a private consultant.
