Heron, David W. (David Winston), 1920-
The Kansas State Library Advisory Commission, established in 19, is concerned with the establishment and development of libraries of all types within the state of Kansas. The commission consists of seven members, six of whom are appointed by the governor and the seventh, the state librarian, who serves as acting secretary. The commission advises and directs the state library in maintaining and operating the public library system, in forming standards of library service and in granting funds to construct new libraries and remodel old ones.
