Bradley, Asa Mayo, 1856-1937.

Asa Mayo Bradley (1856-1937) was born in Brewster, Massachusetts. He entered the ministry after having worked in cabinet-making for over 20 years, and was ordained in the Universalist Church by the California State Convention in 1895. Bradley held mission pastorates in Spokane, Washington, and Portland, Oregon, from 1895 to 1897 and then served congregations in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts. Bradley was the secretary for the New Hampshire Universalist Convention from 1921 to 1936 and was made state superintendent of New Hampshire in 1928, a position he held until his retirement in 1936 as superintendent emeritus. In 1934, he received an honorary doctor of divinity from Tufts University. Bradley died in 1937 in Kingston, New Hampshire.
