Seares, Frederick Hanley, 1873-1964
Frederick Hanley Seares (1873-1964) was a staff astronomer at the Mount Wilson Observatory known for his photometric studies and his editorial work. He was appointed Assistant Director of the Mount Wilson Observatory in 1925, a position he held until his retirement in 1940. He was Director of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (1940-46) and was a recipient of the Society's Bruce Gold Medal.
