Outerbridge, William Woodward, 1906-

William Woodward Outerbridge was born on April 14, 1906. He served as the Commanding Officer of the destroyer U.S.S. Ward in 1941; Commanding Officer of the destroyer U.S.S. Cummings, 1941 to 1942; Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. O'Brien, 1943 to 1945; and Commander of Destroyer Division 42, 1945 to 1956. He died in September 1986.
