Wisconsin. Bureau of Planning and Budget
In March 1971, the Bureau of Budget and Management (WIHV88-A260) and the Bureau of State Planning (WIHV88-A261) were merged to form a new Bureau of Planning and Budget as a result of internal reorganization within the Department of Administration (WIHV85-A694). Reorganization in early 1975 redivided the Bureau's functions among the State Budget Office (WIHV85-A796), State Planning Office (WIHV85-A778), and the State Bureau of Program Management (WIHV85-A888).
The Bureau assisted the governor in the preparation of the state budget, administered state management improvement programs, including administrative systems analysis, and operated the state records center.
