Clippinger, Arthur R. (Arthur Raymond), 1878-1958
Minister and bishop of the Church of the United Brethren in Christ, serving at Summit Street Church (later renamed Euclid Avenue Church), Dayton, Ohio, becoming president of the Miami Conference, and later appointed bishop in the Central Area until his retirement in 1950; a strong force in bringing together the Evangelical Church and the Church of the United Brethren in Christ to become the Evangelical United Brethren Church in 1946, which later became part of the United Methodist Church.
