Wendley, Richard
Wendley was born in Rochester, NY, Feb. 8, 1920; attended Reginald Goode Provincetown School and theater; worked as an actor in stock and road companies; started writing career (1953) and wrote for early live television shows such as Kraft television theatre and NBC Matinee theatre; moved to CA (1965) and wrote for various television shows including Bonanza, Combat, and The Virginian; started writing for Lutheran television (1972) and worked on television specials and programs such as This is the life; nominated for Outstanding Individual Achievement Emmy (1977-78); member Writers Guild of America.
