Jolas, Eugène, 1894-1952
Eugene Jolas (1894-1952), poet, journalist and translator, was the founding editor (with Elliot Paul) of transition . Maria Jolas (1893-1987), his wife, was a translator in her own right, as well as a school administrator and, along with Eugene, a confidant of James Joyce.
