Bourbon, Louis-Henri, duc de, 1692-1740.

Louis-Henri, 7th prince of Condé became duc de Bourbon after the death of Louis XIV on September 1, 1715, and was appointed head of a council of regency by Philippe II, duc d'Orléans, regent for King Louis XV. His estate was inherited jointly by his widow, Caroline (erroneously identified in some sources as Charlotte), formerly princess of Hesse-Rheinfels, and their son, Louis-Joseph, 8th prince of Condé, duc de Bourbon, who assumed the Condé title upon the death of his father.
