Maryland. Constitutional Convention, (1967-1968). President.
The president was the chief executive officer of the convention. He presided at sessions of the convention and Committee of the Whole, exercising all usual duties and powers of a presiding officer. The president appointed chairpersons and members of all committees. He also appointed and assigned all convention employees, including committee staff with the consent of the respective chairpersons.
