Hare, Julius Charles, 1795-1855
Julius Charles Hare was a British author, translator, and clergyman. A popular but eccentric man, he became Archdeacon of Lewes and one of the Queen's chaplains, as well as publishing numerous works on theological themes. He was greatly influenced by German art and thought, and his writing often shows this influence.
