Van Brunt, Rinaldo, 1901-1989
Rinaldo Van Brunt (b. Dec. 13, 1901, Tallahassee, Fla.-d. June 18, 1989), U.S. Army officer, was commissioned in the infantry from West Point in 1925. During World War II, he served as chief of staff, 83rd Infantry Division, XXI Corps, and XXIII Corps. Following the War he was chief of staff, I Corps, in the Korean War; commanding general, 4th Infantry Division; and deputy commanding general, 2nd Army. He retired from Army service in 1962.
