Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad Company
Incorporated in 1861 (as the Nebraska and Lake Superior Railroad Company), the company constructed a main line from St. Paul to Duluth, Minnesota, and also leased three other lines around the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. First deeded in 1877 to the St. Paul and Duluth Railroad Company, it was deeded afterward to NP in 1900.
