Damer family.
Colonel George Lionel Dawson-Damer (1788-1856) was a younger son of the Earl of Portarlington, a cavalry officer and member of the Prince Regent's set. In 1825, he married Mary Georgiana Emma Seymour, despite the objections of the King and the King's mistress, Mrs. Fitzherbert.
