Philleo, Calvin W. (Calvin Wheeler), 1822-1858
Philleo was a practicing lawyer and a politician. He was initially a Democrat, became a Free-Soiler in 1849 and eventually returned to the Democratic party. He was author of several articles that were published in Putnam's Magazine and the Atlantic.
