Abney, D. F. (Dewitt Fleetwood), 1886-
Born in 1886, Dewitt Fleetwood Abney was the son of Susanna Elizabeth Davis and James Addison Abney. He attended Howard Payne College, graduated from Southwestern University in 1909, and owned a car dealership in Brownwood, Texas, during the depression and World War II years. His son, Mark Lyle, worked with him in the dealership.
