Wallace, Sippie
"Sippie" Wallace was a top blues singer of the 1920s and 1930s, whose career rivaled that of famed Bessie Smith. She recorded with Louis Armstrong and other luminaries of the period, and her career was revived in later life under the encouragement of singer, Bonnie Raitt.
From the description of Wallace, Beulah "Sippie", oral history collection, 1985 (University of Texas Libraries). WorldCat record id: 238761248
