National Chicano Moratorium Committee (U.S.)
The National Chicano Moratorium Comm. was created by the Hispanic community in the U.S. to protest the Vietnam Conflict. On Aug. 29, 1970 a Vietnam War protest in Los Angeles, Calif. involving Hispanics from all over the U.S. turned violent when the police attacked protestors and three people were killed.
