Meyers, Bennett E. (Bennett Edward), 1897-
Bennett Edward Meyers (b. March 29, 1897, Buffalo, N.Y.), U.S. Army Air Force officer, enlisted as an aviation cadet and was later commissioned in the Air Service in 1920. During World War II, he was deputy assistant chief of staff for aircraft procurement, maintenance, and transport at headquarters, Army Air Force, and later deputy director of Air Technical Service Command. He was dismissed from the Air Force in 1948 following a felony conviction in U.S. District Court.
