Brenner, Reeve Robert

Rabbi Reeve Robert Brenner was born in New York City in 1936. He has held many positions including being the first staff chaplain at the National Institute of Health (NIH). During his life, he has written several scholarly books. While in Israel after his cousin became confined to a wheelchair, he invented the game of Bankshot in 1981. Bankshot is a variation of basketball which allows handicapped people to play. Brenner is currently the leader of Congregation Bet Chesed in Rockville, MD.
