Garza, Lázaro de la.

Born in Laredo, Texas. De la Garza served as financial agent for Francisco (Pancho) Villa. De la Garza was named Agente Financiero de la División del Norte in October, 1913; served as president of the Banco del Estado de Chihuahua, created by General Villa in December, 1913; and was director of the Comisión de la Hacienda in Torreón. He was also president of L. de la Garza & Co., Inc., an import, export and commission business organized in New York in 1915. Other officers of the company were Rafael L. Hernández and José F. Farías. De la Garza left Mexico in 1914 and moved to Los Angeles, California.
