Philadelphia Naval Shipyard (Philadelphia, Pa.)
The Philadelphia Naval Shipyard was established in 1801 in the Southwark District of Philadelphia. In 1876, it was relocated three miles south to League Island at the confluence of the Schuylkill and Delaware Rivers.
