Galindo, Juan, 1802-1839
Juan Galindo resided in Costa Rica and Guatemala during the first half of the nineteenth century. He was a governor of the province of Peten in Guatemala and an archaeologist who studied Indian ruins in Central America. He was elected to the American Antiquarian Society in 1836. He was a member of a number of other historical and geographical societies.
